THE LAMB IS WORTHY
LESSON FOR THE JUNIOR CLASSES

INTRODUCTION
The most important lesson to learn in life is to know where real power lay. Some make great claims to have power and be able to correct the problems in the society and to meet the needs of people. But despite these grand claims we see war, sickness, starvation, and all kinds of ills around us. We know these ills have existed as far back in history as we can see.
But in our Study the Apostle John was taken up into heaven and he saw the vision of the throne room of God the Father. The Father was not described but shown to be represented as reflecting brilliant white and red light He was surrounded by a rainbow with many colours. Before Him were 24 angelic beings in charge of God’s administration and they were seated on thrones which surrounded the throne of God. Thousands and thousands of angels were present and they all worshipped God. He obviously was the all- powerful God and He controlled everything.
God the Father had a scroll with seven seals. This was made of papyrus leaves and that was the ancient form of making Books. It was a big scroll and it contained the wishes of God the Father on how the world should be operated.
But there was a big problem. Nobody in earth or in heaven could take the scroll from the hands of the Father and open this mystery Book which told what the Father wanted. So the apostle John started to cry for there seemed to be no one to take the scroll, open it, and begin to rule the way God the Father wanted.
But there was a solution to the problem. John was told to stop crying for there was one person who could take the scroll and open it so that the rule and judgments of God the Father could begin.
John looked and he saw a figure like a lamb which had been killed in sacrifice to remove all the obstacle of sin which had damaged people, and the universe. This lamb was the Lord Jesus Christ who had died on the Cross but now He was alive and ready to take all authority and power in His hands. So Jesus went up to god the Father and took the scroll (the book) and opened it.
All the angels in heaven immediately bowed down and worshipped Jesus, happy and joyful that He was able and worthy to take over the world. Heaven began a great celebration. The 24 elders cast their crown at the feet of God. They sang a new song to celebrate the salvation Jesus had brought by His sacrifice on the Cross and His resurrection. He had conquered death and the evil Satan. His action had redeemed people from every tribe and nation. He had made all those that believed in Him as Saviour priests and kings and able to rule with Him over everything. So that is where real power is. You should trust God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit for they love you, will keep, protect and look after you and take you to be with them and live in Paradise throughout eternity. All the others who claimed to have real power and can help you and solve the problems of the earth are trying to fool you. Their failures are a warning to you not to trust them. Jesus Christ is your Saviour and He is the only one you should trust. He is the only one who really loves you with an all-powerful and everlasting divine love. So we know Jesus Christ is worthy and has all honour, power, praise, and deserves our worship and our faithful service and obedience.
