INTRODUCTION

It is often difficult to trust others to do what they should do. Sometime people promise to help you but they do not. Sometimes they make suggestions that they tell you will help but these suggestions are so mixed up you will get into trouble if you follow them. You will learn that the only one you can depend on apart from your parents and your family for help is God and not from other people.

But God is the only safe source for help for He will never let you down. When you pray for help, it might seem He is delaying giving you the help you prayed for, but experience has shown us that He delays helping for a good reason.

King David was appointed by God to unite and rule the nation of Israel. But there were many who were jealous of his position and tried to plot against him, and talk bad about him behind his back.

But David firmly believed in God as his helper and his strong fortress. He knew God will not let him down. He showed his total faith in God for he knew God loved him despite the mistakes he had made during his life. He therefore laughed at his enemies who were trying to destroy him. He was not afraid of them. He simply told God in prayer what they were doing and asked God to take care of the problem.

That kind of attitude requires a lot of faith. It takes courage. The Bible says we should follow the example of David. We should learn to trust in God alone. It is good if others will help but God is the only sure source of real good help. So let us have faith in God and not depend on all kinds of solutions that the people of the world like to suggest. Listen to what they have to say. Then think carefully. Then ask for advice from those you trust like your parents. Then go to God in pray
