INTRODUCTION.

Have you ever been disobedient to what godly parents wish for you. If you are ever disobedient remember that disobedience leads to terrible consequences.

Our first parents Adam and Eve made that mistake and sin entered the world, and everything went downhill from that time.

But God knew this would happen and His plan to save mankind went into action right away. God promised Adam and Eve to send someone to save them from the consequences of their sin. This involved a young woman named Mary to have a child by the work of the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph was not involved in this and so Mary was accused of having a child outside of her husband. But she bravely and with great courage stood her ground and told her husband and her family that the angel Gabriel had visited her and told her what would happen in the birth of Jesus. Her husband believed her for the angel had also appeared to him and told him what God had planned to save human beings.

Mary knew the Scriptures and the power and wisdom of God. She knew and loved that God had chosen her to bear in her womb the Son of God called the Messiah. She was humble and trusted God. She and her husband Joseph believed the angel sent by God. They remained faithful to God.

Mary knew her road she would travel would not be easy for people would not believe in their Messiah. But she was prepared to bear any pain that came for she wanted the human race to be saved from the bad effects of sin by the work of the Messiah.

When she went to a wedding feast in Cana of Galilee and the wine ran out everybody was embarrassed. The shame to the bride and groom and the family was great. Mary asked Jesus to help and He did so by turning 6 pots of water that were there into the greatest tasting wine one could wish for. Everybody had wine. So Mary and the disciples there knew that Jesus was God and their Messiah and promised Saviour.

When Jesus died on the Cross and bore the sins of the world. Mary was there and she suffered pain to see how her son suffered for crimes He did not commit. But Jesus loved her and told His beloved disciple John to take care of Mary, and they were all happy at that arrangement.

So we know Jesus loves us. We know He loved His mother Mary and took great care of her. He made provision for someone He trusted to take care of her for the rest of her life.

Jesus loves us too and He will take care of all who believe in Him as their Saviour. Believers will become a part of His family and will live through all eternity with Jesus, the faithful Mary, the faithful Joseph, and all the disciples.
