INTRODUCTION

When you believe that the Lord Jesus is the promised Messiah and Saviour God the Father had promised to come to earth, live among us, and die on the Cross to bear our sins and thus save us, you are taken by God into the family of God.

God the Father tells us we are then in Christ and have a great inheritance and a place of blessing with Jesus.

All who lived and believed in God and followed His leadings are in the family of God. There are therefore trillions of people who loved God and who lived from the time of Adam and Eve. They too are in the family with us. They are ONE people with us and they share in the blessings of God. They like us will live in eternity in the New Earth and the New Jerusalem.

The Apostle Paul in our Study made it clear to the Church which included both Jews and Gentiles that they were all regarded by God as sinners before they came to truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Some who lived before Jesus came to earth as a man expected Him to come and they believed in Him as their coming Redeemer. Those who lived after Jesus came and believed He is their Saviour are joined to those who lived before them and believed. So the Apostle insisted all men are sinners and subject to the wrath and punishment of God before they came to Christ. But now they are all in the family of God and should treat each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ.

They all together are part of God’s Temple. They should never forget this. They should live in unity. They should care for each other. The other members of the Body of Christ who are in the family of God might live in different places and might never meet and never come to know each other. But God regards them all as one and calls on them to help each other to follow His instructions and walk in the way led by the Holy Spirit. So let us remember who we are and keep on being led by the Holy Spirit in all that we do.
