Psalm 139:4
INTRODUCTION
Imagine that you have a great bodyguard who is skilled in all the martial arts and who have the most powerful weapons you can ever imagine. On top of that He has a vast army of highly skilled soldiers that have proved themselves as most successful in fighting. They never lost a fight.
Now think about that! You are a child of God the King, the Creator of the world. He made everybody and everything that ever existed. So He knows everybody and everything inside out. He is infinite. He is more than limitless in wisdom, knowledge, power, and above all in love, mercy, compassion, and caring. There is no one like Him.
So since He called you into a personal relationship with Him and has named you as a part of His family you have nothing to fear. Sometimes however you do feel afraid for your enemies try to bombard you with lies about their ability. But their promises are fake promises and will never work to your benefit..
The psalmist reminds you God has not only made you, but He has searched and scrutinized you. He knows all your thoughts and your way of thinking and behaving. He is completely aware of what you will do and what you have done in the past, in the present, and in the future.
But you do not need to be afraid of Him for He loves you more deeply than you can imagine and has done everything to save you and bring you into a close relationship of glory and honour. God is not your enemy and will never be your enemy. So you can trust His promises, lean on Him for support, talk to Him, follow His advice, knowing that His way is best even if your friends and those around you try to tell you otherwise.
God has more ability and knowledge and power that anyone. He is better than the spy cameras, the software that tracks what you do, and the face recognition systems that are being developed. So look closely at yourself and make sure you ask God to search you and take away any wicked way in you, and then lead you in the way of everlasting life
