INTRODUCTION AND STUDY
The Laws of God show us the nature of God. It reveals what God is like, what He loves, and why He made a great Plan to save human beings from dying because they had committed all kinds of sins.
When persons believe in the salvation brought by the Lord Jesus by His death on the Cross bearing the sins of human beings they are changed. They are given a new life. The Holy Spirit comes to live inside them and works to change them to be like Christ. He guides them, teaches them about what is right and acceptable to God. He teaches them about what is wrong and how to avoid doing those kinds of things. He prepares them to one day meet God the Father in heaven so that they will join with the angels and others in heaven praising God.
The Holy Spirit will give them the ability to show what is called the fruit of the Spirit. This is the ability to love. It brings joy, goodness, faith and other great and exceptional supernatural abilities.
Believers in Jesus therefore have freedom to do all sorts of good things. They are able to love God properly and to love others, doing things to help others improve and come to believe in God and worship Him so that God will bless them.
They are free and able to do everything that is right no matter the things happening around them and the position they are in. This is an incredible power to do many many things to improve the life of persons we meet. The people in the province of Galatia were warned not to try any other way to please God the Father beside accepting what Jesus had done on the Cross. Believing in Jesus was the only way to be saved. Some false teachers had been telling the people in the church in Galatia that they had to be circumcised to be saved but the Apostle Paul insisted that that was a false idea. The people should stay away from false ideas.
Accepting Jesus’ sacrifice for us to be saved is all that is required. So let us fix our minds on loving God the Father, loving Jesus Christ for what He has done for us, and loving the Holy Spirit for His work He is doing for us. Jesus also has done great things for us.
