INTRODUCTION AND STUDY

There is nothing or anyone that can successfully prove that the words of God are not totally truthful, accurate, helpful, and mean good for you.God also has done great things for usG

The reason for this is because God lived in glory and unbelievable beauty before He created the heavens, the earth, the universe, and the angels. God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit lived in eternity, where there was nothing called” time” to bring any limitation to their infinite wisdom, knowledge, ability, and power. There was nothing more powerful than God. There can never be anything more powerful and in control than the Creator for they made life, preserved those they created, and blessed them. But the absolutely unbelievable and beautiful thing about God was that in their very nature He had the nature of love, mercy, kindness and other amazing characteristics. God the Father, God  the Son, and God the Holy Spirit lived in absolute beauty and glory in eternity. But they loved to create and so God made the universe, the angels, the heavens and the earth, please and plans, animals and fish, and eventually God made man and woman. God the Father tells us that He created because He wanted to have other beings living, breathing, and enjoying the beauty of life with Him so He made it all, intending to bring them into a close personal relationship with Him, whether were angels or they were men and women.

Now God knew that when He made our forefathers Adam and Eve they had the ability to make mistakes even though He told them not to do certain things because if they did it it would cause a lot of trouble for them. But they disobeyed and so sin came into the world and God now had to have a plan to straighten out this sad state of affairs. Things got worse and worse and God called Abraham and made up covenant with him, an agreement that He would be faithful to Abraham and all his children and to all peoples that would ever live on the earth. He would save them from their sin.

But things didn’t work out the way God wanted but God planned carefully and patiently and He created the nation of Israel and took them into the land of Canaan that He had promised Abraham He would give to his children. Now finally after traveling through the wilderness because of their foolishness God brought them to the borders of Canaan and the leader Moses had to deal with preparing the people to go into this land.

All the people going into the land were young they were all under or about 20 years old or near that. So Moses had to teach them again or reinforce in their minds that they had to be obedient to the law and commandments of God for God set it up for them who would benefit. If they were not obedient to the law they would run into trouble with God and be practically wiped out to a great extent just as God intended to wipe out the disobedient people who lived in the land of Canaan.

So can you imagine all these young people assuming greater responsibility to organize the affairs of the nation and to make sure that everybody obeyed the laws and commandments of God. Some of them were priests and others call Levites which would take care of the worship and the services to God. Then there were elders and leaders of the different families. The only real older experience persons around them was Joshua and Caleb because they had not disobeyed God along with the other older people during the wilderness travel. So they were there to help the younger people. Moses therefore stressed the importance of obedience to the law of God. These laws were set up for the good of the nation. Disobedience would bring back consequences. God did not allow Moses to enter the promised land of Canaan because of something that he should not have done but he was prepared to give a great deal of advice and direction to the young people that were about to enter into the Land of Canaan.

We therefore have to learn a lesson from the experience of this nation. Disobedience to the laws of God will not do anything good for you. There are many people that do not like the laws of God for they want to be free to do whatever they like. They do not care about the judgment of God but if you care about the judgment of God and if you care about wanting to be with God in absolute beauty and paradise you should call on God to help you often and He will help you to come close to Him and to stay close to Him. So we pray that you will learn the lesson and resist the temptation to do what the world around you want for that will do you no good. God will help you to survive and to do well if you trust in Him and obey Him.
