INTRODUCTION AND STUDY.

Some people know a lot about different things and have special abilities. Because of that some of these people like the limelight. They like to be at center stage.

Sometimes these people forget that teamwork is important and that a person cannot really do everything. Boys, girls, and young people have to remember that loving the limelight might not be good for them.

They need help. When people work together and cooperate with each other usually they get the work that they want to do done very quickly. When people work together sometimes new ideas come up which solve some of the problems in ways that no one thought it would.

In our Scripture reading we will come across a husband and wife team who worked together in their business of making tents. They also worked together in ministering for the Lord, teaching others about Jesus, and helping these people they met to mature in the Christian faith.

If you met them they would look like “ordinary Christians” even though there is really no such thing as “ordinary Christians”. All Christians are all loved by God the Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and so they are special people with great blessings and they are certainly not ordinary. The Holy Spirit gives every Christian believer supernatural gifts that they can use to build up people that belong to Christ

Our team named Aquila and Priscilla lived in Rome but had to leave there and came to the city of Corinth. They met and lived with the Apostle Paul making tents and ministering. Then after  a successful church building missionary activity there Aquila and Priscilla and Apostle Paul left. Aquila and Priscilla went to Ephesus where they worked in the church there.

The Apostle Paul trusted them for they were great Christians and great workers. They were humble, kind, generous, and were willing to help anybody who wanted to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

One day a very talented man called Apollos came into the church at Ephesus and he preached about God the Father and the fact that God would send a Saviour to help mankind. He had learned about that from John the Baptist who was Jesus’ forerunner who had declared that the Messiah had finally arrived. John taught the people that Jesus Christ was coming to begin a ministry clean up the mess in the earth and to save mankind. John actually introduced Jesus to the people.

John had many disciples and they traveled all over the known world.

But some of these disciples didn’t know that Jesus had come, had ministered for three ad a half years, had been crucified on the Cross, had been resurrected, and had ascended to be with His Father in Heaven. These disciples did not know about the work that Jesus was doing, representing Christians and asking the Father to forgive the sins of believers in Jesus when they did something that was wrong. This is called Jesus’ work of intercession. It will do wonders for you when you are truly sorrow for anything sinful you do and repent.

The Apostle Paul loved working and ministering with Aquila and Priscilla. He loved being with them so much that he told all the churches they were his “helpers”. This title showed that the Apostle Paul had high praise for them.

Remember therefore that God the Father has called women, not just men, to help others to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ. God has also called young people, boys and girls to help others learn about the Lord Jesus Christ.

So you must be always ready to give up testimony about your faith in Jesus. There are many people out in the world that need your help.

Make sure when anyone tells you anything about God that you read your Bible and make sure what they are telling you matches up perfectly with what Scripture says.

Sometimes you have to be very diplomatic however in telling about Jesus. It is wise for all of us though we might be more educated and knowledgeable than the people we meet to remain humble and teachable. God will help you when you do the work that He has called you to do. So consider the importance of this call that God has made to you and make a commitment about the kind of spiritual contribution you are willing to make to the life of others.
