INTRODUCTION AND STUDY.

Have you ever been bothered by wanting to get something that you do not have? You want it so desperately but no matter how hard you try it seems to be out of reach. You really need someone to help you. People often needs someone to meet their need.

Nehemiah Today we will be looking at a woman that had a need. She had a bad health problem. She had a lot of bleeding going on inside her and it made her sick. She went to every doctor that she could think of and paid a lot of money but none of the doctors helped to cure her. As a matter of fact their treatments made her worse. But then she found out that there was someone that might be able to help her and His name was Jesus. She waited patiently until Jesus came to her town and when Jesus was walking nearby her the crowd was so thick that she had to push her way through to get close to Him. This was something that would get her into trouble because in view of her sickness she was not allowed to go near other people and definitely she was not allowed to go to the synagogue or the Temple to worship God.

God had warned the This is very bad day andThe day that Jesus was walking near her house would be a good day for her. Jesus had been going on that road because the chief person in the synagogue in Capernaum had a 10-year-old daughter that was dying and he had come to ask Jesus to come to his house and heal her and probably raise her from the dead if she died before Jesus reached the house. The man’s name was Jairus. He was a very brave man for he was taking a risk to ask Jesus to come to his house because many of his friends and other officers in the synagogue and in the Temple did not like Jesus at all. So he had taken the big risk, came to see Jesus, bowed down and worshipped Jesus, and made Jesus understand that he believed if He came to his house Jesus was able to heal his beloved sick and dying daughter. This man obviously had great faith and so Jesus decided to go and help him. His need was great and Jesus was very happy to go with him and meet his need.

Along the way This was a directOn the way waited PATLesson for us today thereforeIENTLYSo God told the people this woman with the bad bleeding problem. She had great faith in Jesus’ ability to heal her and when she saw Jesus, she grabbed the opportunity to get healed. But she was afraid to come and ask Jesus to heal her so she decided that if she would just get close to Jesus and touched the hem of His clothes she would be healed. That was amazing faith in Jesus and in Jesus’ ability to heal.

She managed to squeeze her way through the crowd without anybody seeing her and touched the hem of Jesus’ robe. She thought that Jesus would not notice what she had done but she was wrong. Jesus turned around and looked at her saying, “Somebody touched me”. The disciples told Jesus what He was saying made no sense pointing out to Him that lots of people were crowding around Him. But Jesus knew that somebody had touched Him in order to get healed. He knew the mind of everybody and what they wanted of him. He looked at the frightened woman and told her not to worry but to be comforted. Her faith would be rewarded. She was healed from that instant.

Then after seeing the great faith of the woman Jesus comforted her and then went on His way to the house of Jairus to heal his daughter. Jairus’ faith grew when He saw what Jesus had done. So she managed to get through the crowdAnd when Jesus reached the house of Jairus he saw a lot of people wailing, weeping, playing the funeral music on flutes, and tearing up their clothes in mourning. There was a lot of noise.

Jesus told them to calm down for the little girl was only sleeping. The people then starting mocking Jesus saying they knew the girl was really dead. Jesus became upset at the noise and chased the people out. He, the disciples Peter, James, and John, Jairus and the little 12 year old girl’s mother went into the girl’s bedroom. Jesus took the little girl by the hand and told her to Arise.

She got up immediately and Jesus told her parents to give her something to eat.

The news of the resurrection spread all over the area and the people crowded Jesus even more.

Faith in Jesus is the greatest. Jesus loves you. He is concerned about you. He welcomes you. So come to Him, have faith and trust in Jesus. He will help you, MEET YOUR NEED, AND HEAL YOU.
